Don't know much about this but my office mate is an avid sporting clays shooter so I asked what he uses and he say he used a Modified choke for sporting clays. Most of the station shots have targets moving away from you. Mossberg makes guns that are adequate for field shooting (where you might go through a few boxes of shells a year), but are woefully inadequate for serious clay target use (where you'll probably go through at least a flat of shells a week). My A400 Xcel is quickly becoming my favorite auto and I like it for sporting clays better than my Beretta O/U I previously owned. Try a whole lot of guns first, paying attention to recoil and stock adjustments. The Benelli has a reputation of more recoil than a autoloader, but less than an O/U.
