If you play on an Xbox for example, and set up your firewall to only allow connections from the Xbox live server, and you selected multiplayer, it would fail to connect even though you're online.

Just look up bo2 plutonium it's free and it has no hackers, it's the only way to play bo2 now. Get BlacK ops 2 plutonium. It's a modded version but way better because more servers and less hackers. There's an unlock all so you don't need to grind and get DLC. Look it on YouTube.
