These are the specs for my drz to be specific. Cylinder works 94mm pistion big bore. frc 39mx carb. yoshi exhaust. hot cams intake and exhaust stage one low end power. E model airbox with larger hole. The carb is set up as is. emn 3rd clip. 200 main air.DRZ 400 is my very first bike and it will always have a special place in my heart. Can anyone tell me the carb size on a stock 00 drz 400 e model? Thanks in advance. 39mm for e model, but this is very dodgy. depends on where the bike is from.....some come with 36mm..... Aah, sorry, see now it is 2000 model.We use CVK40 from KLR650 and DRZ likes almost same OEM jet setup of KLR. So IMO, oem setup of DR650 shouldn't be too far from what you need. And TM40 comes with 17.5 PJ (and 165MJ) if you buy it from mikuni or wherever. That carb is designed for 400~650 cc single bikes.

It must be hung on the spring or it got turned in too tight at some point and the o-ring is mashed and that may be gripping it. Be careful as there is a spring, a tiny o-ring and a tiny flat washer that are part of the assembly.

Posted November 2, 2021. You have a Mikuni BSR36 carb that hasn't changed on the drz400s since G.W. Bush was president. Ride it as is for a while to at least gage the power characteristics in stock configuration. Then if you think you could use a bit more responsiveness, the 3x3 mod with richer jetting is the first step.

The FCR is a carb built to be fast and reliable, for all kinds of bike, but you have to re-jet. This has been made fairly easy on the FCR, so with some practice it should be an easy job. The DRZ E came with this carb, so the engine does well with it. And as said above, the knowledge on the FCR on this forum is immense.
