A while back my Check Engine Light (CEL) on my Equinox (2011 3.0 V-6 FWD) came on and code P0442 (small leak evap system) was indicated. The vehicle remote start was inoperative. Since that is a pretty insignificant code (and I was pretty busy) I decided to clear the code, reset the gas cap, and monitor the situation.the fiilling up/hard start issue is related to overfilling. Over time it causes issues with the valve. I believe there are 2 valves--- one is on top of the gas tank- the 2nd is close to the engine. Usually changing the one by the engine will correct the issue. Someone has pics of their valve replacement on here.

My 2012 has a hesitation in its acceleration when launching from a complete stop. We start to accelerate and the car moves, then there's a hesitation in the acceleration. I have a 2012 Acadia Denali that was experiencing the same issue rpm fluctuation under load. Thinking it was a gas/air mixture issue I tried swapping coils, spark plugs, cleaning gas tank, and cleaning the throttle body. It helped, but did not resolve the issue. There were no engine lights so I had nothing to go on.
