Once I tightened them up, everything is A-OK, especially since I changed my trans sensor and solenoid in attempting to fix the prob. I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Sport. Yesterday the check engine light came on. We got a diagnostic code of P1762, Manf. Con. Trans; what in the world does this mean? We have been told it is the switch on the overdrive, but the switch works fine. We cannot afford to go to a repair shop right now. Please help! First lets test the p1762, it sounds like you may have a bad PCM but need to test to make sure.
