Workhorse is the best value out, thicker metal, faster delivery and a lot less expensive, but JD sells more pits by a long shot and uses Automated tooling to keep labor down and still puts out a Great product.. Another factor may be the door weight. Apparently the door isn't that much heavier on the 1975. I have the 1975 and have never regretted it. Especially given that cost difference isn't that much.
