My early game budget kit is an SKS with a 20 rounder, but my favorite budget kit of all time is a 6B3TM, a ssh-68, and a P90 (only 50k). Just W + m1 your way through a fight. The general consensus is that if you have less than three important items equipped (firearm, backpack, armor, helmet, rig) that you will be "Tagged & Cursed". I have experienced this, losing my kit several times and spawning in hoping for a come-up.
Yes only having a pistol will get you tagged. I think having 2 extra mags or a tac rig is enough to get over the threshold. Toz gamer rise up.
