A pure Elden Ring Intelligence build is solid on its own, but it excels when combined with a Dexterity-focused weapon to ward off melee enemies.
For end-game you're looking at either the 55-60 DEX cap or the 80 DEX cap. The former has a range depending on a weapon's scaling and damage type(s). For example, the St. Trina sleep sword reaches its cap for DEX scaling at 56 DEX. The latter is the hard cap for DEX and other attributes in general (STR, INT, etc).

Or if you want to cast more damaging spells than you'll need to invest more into faith to like 60 to hit a soft cap and 80 faith if you're going to maximize caster damage.
