Yanked out the egr cooler and looped the fluid hose to the heater core with a brass fitting. Yanked out the adblue tank with heater, wiring, hose, injector etc. Replaced the egr with a race pipe and cleaned out the intake manifold. Hardest part was pulling the egr without pulling down the inter cooler.

VW's 507.00 oil is very low ash which helps extend the life of the DPF, I don't know how the additive packs are different from other low ash oils though.
