You'll only need enough to cover your shift - if it's 9 hours with a lunch scheduled, you'll use 8 hours. The 9 minute grace period doesn’t apply when it comes to PPTO so you need to take that into consideration. So for example, if you’re scheduled to leave at 4PM and you want to leave at 2PM, then you’ll need to clock out at 2PM or later. Ppto basically always treats it (in terms of pay, and stopping you from getting points) as if you worked that amount of time.
