I have followed the dealer’s advice exactly but I can’t get the DCT to shift from 2×4 to 4×4 differential lock unless I am almost stopped. Also, sometimes I can’t get the rear differential to release in 2×4 mode. A footshift is more reliable, less to go wrong. PERIOD. The DCT is a good system for an automatic, BUT there are simply more components to break. DCT is actually not a new idea, first invented in the 1940's, developed in the 80's for racing, the first to hit the road were 2003 Volkswagens.
