The 92A1 has a different slide and takedown lever so it locks in position without having to rotate the takedown lever when you reassemble the gun. The barrel and locking block are compatible with my M9A1 or 92X slide but you can't put a 92A1 slide on an M9A1 frame. I can use my M9A1 slide on the 92A1 frame though.
