You can only use a glitch. Speedrun has already use it. I'm pretty sure there's an alternative way to get there without progressing through the story. They have put up an infinity of portals and passages that allow you to explore the whole map by killing a couple of bosses. I doubt they've cut out a slice like the mountains of giants.
