Two things, 1. The noise will go away when in 4h, when the iwe is bad. 2. Ford and dorman are the same iwe, save your $$ and just buy a dorman (lifetime warranty and $70 with a coupon vs $113 and 2yr warranty at the dealership). Both were identical, same part number, stamping saying "warn automotive".

I bought a 2023 F-150 XLT 4x4 3.5L on Saturday 12/16/2023 (3 days ago).This morning while driving to work I had a humming noise from the front end while in 2 wheel drive. It's probably your IWE actuator. This is the part that connects the wheel hub to the CV shaft when you use 4wd. One way to test is unplug the IWE soleonid (passenger side firewall behind battery) and see if the noise goes away. When the vacuum builds when the engine is started, the vacuum from the intake via a vacuum line exerts vacuum on the entire IWE system all the way to the actuators. The first check valve locks the vacuum at the highest vacuum that is exerted from the engine from that check valve down. The vacuum box now holds that highest vacuum exerted also.
