Hey guys my 09 kfx450 has been giving me trouble and need some help. The manual I found online says that the white wire going into my ecu is not supposed to have power going to it when key is off however it does. A couple days later the temp warmed up and it started fine. Ran it for the day. Next day the temp dropped down to the 50's and it wouldn't take again. replaced the plug again. Still nothing. Turn over, but will not catch. So I took it to a shop to have it worked on. They also recommended an OEM carb, so bought a new OEM carb and choke. SAME ...The center position on the fuel valve should be off. I presume it is leaking fuel from the carburetor. These have a removable float valve at the top of the carburetor, see the parts diagrams on Kawasaki.com. That valve is likely dirty or worn. A replacement valve is around $15 at a dealer. I believe the LTA 50 only has the one speed restictor. It is a washer that restricts exhaust. I know the LT 80 has both the washer as well as a carb restrictor. I've got a KFX 90 that won't start. I'm getting no spark. I've had issues with it for a while, but they are intermittent. It runs fine, put it away, a few days or a week later it won't fire. A few more weeks, it worked fine.
