Dec 9, 2020. #1. I have a TC Renegade in 54 cal. Sometimes it does not fire. The cap always goes off. It sure bugs me enough at the range , but it is muzzleloader season here in Wisconsin and if I see a deer , it has to go off, not just "pop". When it does not go off, I take out the nipple and put in a bit go black powder. And this is the Rear sight off the Barrel above, Short/Blocky but a Slightly Different design than my others. The sight on the Left is from a TC Hawken for Comparison, Which is a Longer Rear sight, Same Hole Spacing as the Renegade.
