Flame of Redmane does not do much damage. It also has a long start-up animation and only medium range. It's strong, but to be honest staggers and critical are not very good DPS, they are just safe. Bleeds or RKR crushing does far more damage. Colossal weapons don't actually even want to use criticals on poise break. 1.06 Flame of the Redmane's seems to have been stealth nerfed. Glintblade Phalanx has always been a great AoW, being a strict upgrade over the spell version in usefulness thanks to the high stagger. However, today 1.0.8 nerfed Flame of the Redmanes to 10 stagger damage, making this even better as its now a potential replacement for those who were using FotR for a stagger build.
