There are a lot of big strength weapons early, like exile GS or great club. If you don’t have DLC, battle axe is ok but there’s no reason to go for it if you can get millwood axe. The great Machete from those big hollows in red in the undead settlement. You can get a Great axe from the hollows at high wall. 1. Great Club.
