Balance is very good with a 6" barrel. The competitive scores I've shot with a Woodsman were only slightly improved with spendy match pistols. For us mere mortals on the club level, a Woodsman can win matches if you take shooting seriously. The Colt Match Target is a noticeably heavier handgun.
